Le Petit Paris

418 Spring St
Los Angeles, CA 90013

Le Petit Paris is a brand new French restaurant located in a historic hotel building that will be sure  to become LA's hottest new restaurant. The atmosphere, which was sophisticated and elegant with a French accent, was stunning- they had crystal chandeliers, a gorgeous grand staircase, and beautiful decor throughout.

We came in on grand opening day, and we were served complementary salmon rilette and champagne with cream of cassis. The salmon rilette with toast was a nice start to our meal, and the champagne was the perfect touch at the end.

After we ordered, we received bread to go along with the olive oil and vinegar on the table. I wanted to come here early (before 11AM) for their lobster egg benedict ($26) that is only served during breakfast. Waking up early was most definitely worth it. The bread on the bottom was perfectly toasted- you could taste the butter, and the bread was soft on the inside but with a nice light crunch on the exterior. So heavenly! The eggs were poached just how I like them- the yolk was nice and runny on the inside. The lobster really finished the egg benedict nicely, and I could not have asked for a better breakfast!

The steak tartare ($20) came with fries and salad, and it was another phenomenal dish. It was actually a lot larger than we expected, and we had trouble finishing all of it. The steak was very well seasoned, and went well with the fries and salad. I would recommend ordering their fries, they really do it right here!

Service was fantastic- although they had a staff meeting at the time, the server ensured that our table was fine and that we had everything we needed. A lot of the employees here are French so it was really nice hearing the dish names said the correct way!

The details that the restaurant put into everything really impressed me- this is probably the best grand opening I've been to! From nice, fresh roses as table decor to glasses of champagne to enjoy with friends, Le Petit Paris has really gotten everything down. I'm so glad they're done with renovations, this restaurant is most definitely worth checking out!
